सुखकर्ता दुःखहर्ता वार्ता विघ्नाची।
The opening praises Ganesha as a giver of joy and remover of sorrow and obstacles. The following images describe vermilion, pearls, sandalwood, a crown and anklets. The refrain celebrates his auspicious presence. The closing voice waits for help in distress and protection at life’s end. These are words of devotional longing, not a guarantee of a particular worldly result.
